The Pram Society

Showtime for Prams

Welcome to The Pram Society.

We are a small group of people who collect and restore coachbuilt prams from many decades, including Victorian and Edwardian right up to the 1970s.   Here you will find lots of photographs, information on restoration and preservation of coachbuilt prams and also information on how to find sought after bits and pieces for your project.

Because we own several Victorian and Edwardian prams we also dress in authentic costume and take part in celebrations such as Queen Victoria's birthday celebrations at Blists Hill Victorian Town in Shropshire, Llandudno Victorian Extravaganza, the parade of vintage coachbuilt prams at The County of Salop Steam Engine Show in August and we have also been invited to take part in the parade at Letchworth on August 1st 2009 to celebrate the industries, Marmet Prams being one, which employed thousands of people in the town during the 50s and 60s.

We are available to show our coachbuilt prams at shows, celebrations, fayres,  in fact anywhere where  the public can come to see us.   We have proved to be a popular attraction with many people, not just  women, at steam fairs etc where people will stand and reminisce about their childhood or their own growing family.

Prams are very emotive objects and everyone has their own story to tell.
